My Must Have Discoveries From 2014
2014 is officially over and that means that it’s essential (as a beauty blogger) to write a post all about the best discoveries of 2014.
Im super picky with body moisturisers but one of my two of my new favourites is the Victoria’s Secret Love Spell Forbidden Ultra-Moisturising Body Cream. I instantly fell in love with the scent but was devastated when I found out it is now discontinued. To conclude it a great moisturiser that will leave your skin hydrated for days. Another moisturiser is the Garnier Summer Body moisturiser that has apricot extracts making it smell incredible and it makes my legs look less ashy and more radiant looking.
In 2014 I discovered hair oils, with only a single pump of the Loreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil on the ends of my hair it looked more glossy and hydrated which is something I struggle with (as I have coloured hair). A recent discovery is the Tangle Teezer I didn’t understand the hype of this hairbrush until I got it. It’s really gentle on my hair and doesn’t pull and create split ends yet still gets rid of tangles effortlessly, so I would really recommend this to anyone.
A perfume I would like to mention is the Ralph Lauren Big Pony perfume in 2. Its perfect for teen girls like myself because its sweet and that’s what most of us like.
Makeup wise I have quite a few products to mention. To start with foundation I’ve loved the Rimmel Wake Me Up and Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Nude which I have separate reviews on. I’m a huge concealer junkie and this year the Rimmel Wake Me Up and MAC Pro Longwear have been essentials to my makeup routine. The concealer by Rimmel is perfect for dark under eyes and the MAC concealer is a great all-rounder, to read more about this you can click here for a separate review. I have to mention the Sleek Face Form in Light, the contour colour and highlight is absolutely perfect to fit my preferences. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know that I love the Seventeen Miracle Matte powder for my oily skin and the Benefit They’re Real Mascara for my helpless lashes.
The Elf Mineral Powder Brush has been perfect to bronze and contour with and to apply foundation the Beauty Blender or sponges in general have been a huge part of my makeup routine as they give a flawless and high coverage finish.
To finish off with is jewellery, if you’ve have read any of my outfit posts I am almost always wearing midi rings and/or an ear cuff. I think they are amazing pieces of statement jewellery and are definitely my type of style.
Thank you so much for sticking with me throughout 2014. Are there any new discoveries you love?
